I'm going for surgery -- MC on hold.

I am checking out for a few weeks... At least until after the holidays. I so wanted to do the MC for forty days, but I am out. I did manage to do it for 22 days though. It seems that until I recover from surgery I must stay off the Master Cleanse, so we'll see. On a positive note, I weighed in today at 307 pounds, and my blood tests indicate that I have cut my LDL and triglycerides in half and my HDL edged up a bit too. My blood glucose level is also down too. Pretty cool, hugh?

Good Luck on your surgery! 307, that's fantastic! Almost 80 lbs in 4 months, can't really ask for more than that.

You've done amazingly well Joe. Too bad you'll be having surgery before your long weekend. That kinda sucks. Good luck with that and hope to see you back blogging before too long.

I hope you surgery went well! I check in to your site every once in a while and I'm always shocked at the amount of weight you've lost. You must be really happy about the positive news about your blood work. In another post you said that doctors would tell to eat meat, dairy, and eggs for muscle recovery. Hopefully you know better though. Recently I heard about two long time vegetarians (Actor Josh Hartnett and musician Travis Barker)who started to eat meat after their doctors told them it would help them heal after surgery(as if doctors know a damn thing about nutrition)!! Anyway, hope everything goes smoothly.

Just checking in to see how you're doing since your surgery. I didn't stumble on your site until after you took the break, but I've enjoyed reading and learning through your journey. Hope to read more soon!
